The Book

Reverend Mother’s Daughter is my life story and it starts in England in 1934. In telling it I take you on an extraordinary journey; from the time of my adoption by my benefactor, to the life that I live today.

I tell of the people who were part of my life and of those caregivers who abused their authority when I was separated from Reverend Mother by the war. I tell of my many childhood experiences away from her care, my reunion with her at age fourteen and my gradual emergence into adulthood. I tell how I followed Reverend Mother’s wishes, reluctantly pursuing a career in nursing, despite my desire to escape the real world through a life in show business.

Next I introduce you to Mario, my first love, who swept me into a new world, took me to Paris for our honeymoon, to Italy, to meet his family, and eventually to the Bahamas, with our children. I relate how one day my world crashed when Mario left me for another woman.

All of this leads me to reveal how I came to know the One who would truly change my life and how His love and grace helped me rebuild my life in Canada.
